• Transfer fuel to the customer’s installation or remove it from the site
• Blow back the fuel lines to the tank to clear them of any fuel
• Excavate to uncover the top of the tank
• Cut open and clean the tank of waste fuel and sludge
• Excavate to remove the tank
• Coordinate town/village/NYSDEC inspector on site for approval to backfill the excavation
• Retrieve required soil samples for NYSDEC
• Legally dispose of the tank
• Rake out disturbed areas
• Prepare the required closure report for NYSDEC
